22nd edition of Mideast Watch and Jewellery Show to embark at Expo Centre Sharjah on April 25

The 22nd edition of the MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show, which starts on April 25 at Expo Centre Sharjah, 2007, will acccomodate more than 350 jewellers from across the world. Besides individual participation, the Show will host several national pavilions from Hong Kong - China, India, Italy, Thailand, and Singapore.

The Show which is a five-day affair will exhibit diamonds, precious stones, loose pearls, gold and diamond jewellery, diamond and pearl sets, and watches. Jewellers from Bahrain, Hong Kong - China, India, Italy, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Malaysia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Turkey, and the UAE will display their exclusive range of jewellery.

“The Mideast Watch & Jewellery Show has been experiencing phenomenal growth since it started a decade and a half back,” said Mr. Saif Al Midfa, Director General, Expo Centre Sharjah. He further informed, “Continuing on that trend, the coming edition will be bigger, both in terms of number of exhibitors and occupied exhibition space. Three halls of Expo Centre Sharjah, measuring a total of 12,000 square meters, will be utilized to host 350 jewellers from across the world. A majority of the exhibitors had participated in the previous editions”.

The last edition of the MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show, which was held from October 30 - November 3, 2006 attracted a total of 40,831 visitors. The MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show is an initiative of Expo Centre Sharjah. It is supported by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the World Gold Council (WGC).
